Your tasks:
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Prepare relishes and hors d'oeuvresYour skills:
- Able to think beyond the obvious and work in an independent, self-confident manner
- Able to work unsupervised on own initiative
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required
- A friendly, upbeat, energetic, good-humored individual
- Proactive, quick study, self-starter, decisive, productive and organized
